The Chicagoland GEICO 400 is a Sprint Cup Series stock car race held annually each summer at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois. Formerly named the Tropicana 400 (2001-04) or USG Sheetrock 400 (2005-07), its date was added to the NASCAR calendar in 2001 as a day race, before switching to a nighttime run beginning with the 2008 event.
The GEICO 400 is a relatively new race in the Sprint seasonal lineup, but it has already provided some great races. In nine years since its debut in 2001, the 400 has had seven different winners, with Kevin Harvick (2001-02) and Tony Stewart (2004, 2007) being the only ones to repeat as winners. Chevy-based teams must love coming to Chicagoland for the LifeLock, considering that a Chevrolet has won seven of the nine races so far, followed distantly by Dodge (2003) and Toyota (2008) winning the only remaining two.

2010 GEICO 400 Winner:

David Reutimann entered the GEICO 400 at Chicagoland Speedway with one career win, a rain-shortened victory at the Coca-Cola 600 in 2009. Reutimann had gone winless in 42 consecutive Sprint Cup races entering Saturday night's GEICO 400 and was well off the pace among leading NASCAR drivers. Reutimann, who pulled into the lead with about 50 laps to go, edged a late-charging Edwards by 0.728 seconds.

Mark Martin took the checkered flag .415 seconds ahead of Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jeff Gordon. Kasey Kahne ran third, followed by Cup points leader Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin. Ryan Newman, pole-sitter Brian Vickers, Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer and Juan Montoya completed the top 10.
